The Kurdistan workers party better known as the PKK made an official statement saying that members of the militant group would begin retreating to Northern Iraq in phases beginning May 8th. However they did not say how long it would take to fully withdraw but they did announce that it would likely take a few months. PKK leader Murat Karayilan warned against any provocations from the Turkish army while the PKK was departing.
